Mummy's Separation Anxiety

Finally after much thoughts, I had decided to have a short 3 days 2 nights getaway with my dear hubby to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary in Phuket Banyan Tree. Marriage still needs to be at the top priority, putting aside the feelings of missing Karis for few days. Well, to conclude, the separation anxiety happens not to Karis, but to me :) As for Karis, she has been very busily happy with the shopping at Vivocity with Ah-Ma, Wai-Po and Pam-pam gu-gu, and going to Ah-Ma's house over the weekend.

Squinting Eyes from Apple Puree

Mummy bought a Heinz organic apple & berry puree for me to experience variety of flavours. Oh....so sourish! I squinted my eyes so much that my eyes became teary. By the third attempt by Mummy, I instinctively squinted my eyes much, once I see the spoon of puree is approaching near to my mouth.

Mummy, Daddy & Po-Po had a great laughter - They found that it is so funny because of my exaggerated expression in squinting my eyes. Yet, Mummy stopped at the third attempt, because she thought that it is really too sourish for me, looking at the teary-eyed me. :)

The Little Spy in my Family

Mummy realised that I am truly the little spy in our house. Ah ma has been commenting that 1.5 months ago when Daddy was going out of our house for his overseas biz trip, and I was lying down in my yaolan going to sleep, I peeped at Daddy through the holes of the yaolan cloth.

Today, Mummy had reached home earlier after work and saw that my head has been moving from one side to the other, following the direction where Mummy was. I was peeping through the holes of the cloth and looking at mummy in her bedroom from afar. Hey dun you know, I have been in the acting role as a spy in my family whenever I am in yaolan since I am 4 mths plus old :)

Karis' Smile has brought Mummy Gladness

Usually my dear hubby and I will reach for home after work, unless we have friends' gathering due to birthday celebrations, or for my dear hubby, a game of badminton with his buddies. Unexpectedly, both of our dinner gathering with friends have been cancelled, and as such we met up for a dinner at Ikea.

When we reach home at 8pm plus, Karis has almost fell into deep sleep, until she heard shuffles of sounds from my dear hubby. The playful side of her immediately aroused and she opened her eyes. She smiled so responsively once seeing me and her daddy.Stretching out my hands, I carried her out from her cot and hugged her. She was so excited that her legs were kicking in the air.

Karis' smile always brings gladness to my heart and assurance that she is well, and most happy to see her parents.It has always been most heartwarming and refreshing to my soul, to see Karis' smile. Babies' smile and happiness are always so innocent and pure. It just brings a fresh sweep of peace and joy to your soul, especially after a hard day's work. Even more is so, when your own little precious one smiles ever so sweetly to you :)
